| Farm Day | Next Farm Day: October 5, 2008 |
| Our first Farm Day was celebrated 11 years ago.
This year, many families came and hung around the farm all day! We thank the many fine
volunteers who participated to make it a safe and happy community event. Kids love to make pumpkin sculptures. They use all kinds of veggies to create some very interesting creatures! |
| The Old Tarboo Farm in Quilcene brought two teams of beautiful Percheron horses to give wagon rides. They were a wonderful and graceful addition to our Farm Day. |
| The Petting Zoo is always a popular stop for children of all ages. |
| Several hundred visitors come every year. And there are many other farms to visit that day as well. We thank the folks who come by for taking an interest in sustainable agriculture in our region. It is important that the community realizes that these are not gardens or hobby farms. They are real, viable businesses that hire many workers, and contribute to the economy of our area, as well as to the health or their customers, and the well-being of the land. |
